Obituary for Zofia Zawadzka (Nicpon)
Zofia of East Rutherford and formerly of Wallington, NJ died on Sunday, March 10th, she was 96.
Zofia was born in Jelna, Poland on April 1, 1922 to Marcin and Katarzyna (Pocwiortek) Nicpon. She emigrated to the United States on April 1, 1961, settling in Wallington and moving to East Rutherford in 1998. Zofia's husband Wincenty, died in 1977 after 30 years of marriage. In addition to being a parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Wallington, she had also been an active member of St. Francis of the 3rd Order and was also a member of the Polish Living Rosary Society. Visiting Wednesday, March 13th, 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10AM, Thursday, March 14th, at Tthe Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 127 Paterson Avenue, Wallington, NJ. Zofia will be laid to rest with her husband Wincenty at St. Michael's Cemetery. Contributions may be made for masses to be held in Zofia's name.
