Sophie Mastroberte entered eternal life on March 16th, 2018, she was 97. Sophie was born in Passaic, NJ on Nov. 15th, 1920 to Martin and Agnes (Piekarz) Dul. She was proud of the time she spent at her home parish grammar school of Holy Rosary in Passaic and would often recall those fond memories. In addition to being a devoted homemaker for over 70 years to her beloved husband William, who predeceased her on March 14th, 2014; she had worked at Hoffman-La Roche in Nutley. Sophie and William had lived in Wallington, moving to South Jersey in the late 1960's. Several years later they returned to Bergen County, living in Fairlawn for a few years prior to moving to Toms River in the late 1970's. Sophie enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking when she was able to do so. Sophie is survived by her devoted son William Mastroberte, her beloved grandchildren Nicholas and his wife Anna Mastroberte, and Christina and her husband Johnny Allegato. She is also survived by her cherished great-grandson Giovanni Allegato. Sophie was predeceased by her dear daughter in law Christina A. Mastroberte and her brother Walter and his wife Ann Dul. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am, Wed, March 21st at Holy Rosary Church, 6 Wall St. Passaic. A private entombment will take place at Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting, NJ. www.WarnerAndWozniak.com
