"Say Hi to Auntie Coco!"

I want to start by saying the family has lost a beautiful and gregarious matriarch, a caring soul that has touched so many lives along her journey. My Auntie Coco will be forever fondly remembered. I will never forget my parents reminding my brother and I: "Don't forget to say Hi to Auntie Coco" at all the family gatherings. It wasn't that we needed to be reminded, we just knew we had make extra TIME to do it! I knew from a very early age that Auntie Coco could TALK! She always had stories to tell, hugs to give and smiles to share. She was able to relate to us, no matter how old we were and was genuinely happy to be in the company of those she loved. Oh, and some way or another she would stealthily slip a dollar bill into my hand. She was like a wizard, a modern day Harry Potter! I remember the day I broke the silence and told my brother what she did, and he said, "YOU TOO!?!?!" It made us laugh wondering how many others kept that special secret! I also recall her and my grandmother, Nanny, chatting it up at some of the BBQs and Christmas Eves. Looking at those two and thinking how nice that we are part of such a large and loving family. Auntie Coco now has a whole new group with whom she can share stories and slip bills! And she will be warmly greeted and reunited with those that left before her. We will miss you Auntie Coco! Love your niece, Jennifer
